Q: What is Packing Day?

Packing Day is the day where all of us will come together and form a human production chain and start loading all the Open House goodie bags with loads of goodies! This year we will be packing a total of 12 000 goodie bags!

Hello everyone!!!

WE ARE RECRUITING!

Are you ready for I-GUIDES

AY 10/11 ??

I-Guides: Information Guides. Every school will have their own guides (e.g. B-Guides, E-Guides etc), but I-Guides is in charge of the whole TP. This meant opportunity to interact outside of your course and school.

What we do:
During Open House, we will be taking charge of all guests when they arrive, ensuring that their trip made to TP will not go to waste. We will pass them on to the different respective school guides and we will be following and guiding them as well on their tour around the particular school, and pass them on to the guides from another school so that they can learn more about another school.

Events we hold:
1) Open House
2) Promotion Day
3) Distribution Day
4) Packing Day
5) I-Guides Orientation
6) A Date With I-Guides (NEW!!! )
7) Sub-Comm Camp

We are recruiting both normal I-Guides and Sub-committee members.

Normal I-Guides:
Normal guides will get the privilege of getting to know and work with all the other school guides.
During OH, there will be various sections you will be assigned to. For instance, cheering at the bridge, welcoming guest, distributing goodie bags, “tour guides” and etc.

Sub-comm members:
Sub-comms will be the point of contact between the normal guides and the Main-comms. They will help the Main-comm coordinate and provide support during the Open House.

We completed 15 000 bags in less than 5 hours!

Firstly thank you all for expressing your interest in the I-Guides camp. However those who have verbally or email-ed us saying you wish to join us but did not submit the form during the given deadline, we are sorry to say that we are not accepting anymore due to the overwhelming response.

without the main comms, there will be no camp as nothing would be planned.without the subcomms, nothing will be executed.& without the participants, the camp would be planned for nothing. :)

We would also like to thank Visual Central for their help in capturing all the priceless moments in camp! Not forgetting the Studies Club & Student Union for coming down to the briefing. Also a big thank you to our I-Guides Alumni for coming down to help us. Once again, Thank you very much to our dearest Sub Committee Members for going all the way for us! ♥ Sub Comms !!!

Although camp is over, but it is not the end, rather, it is the beginning of the I-Guides journey for 08/09. There is a long way to go, many more good moments to enjoy as I-Guides. We look forward to seeing everyone at ALL our activities. Updates for the next activity will be up soon. Do look out for it!

At the same time, I would like to remind everyone that, as I-Guides, we will be fully deployed during open house. Please refrain from taking up any activities that will be held during open house, as we need every single one of you! Please take note!

I-Guides 1ST EVENT IS HERE!!! On the 20th SEPTEMBER 2008, Saturday, we will be having our I-Guides Orientation. This event is for all who signed up for I-Guides, which includes Sub committee members as well as participants. The event would allow you guys to know more about I-Guides, namely what activities you guys will be participating in. It will also be an opportunity for you guys to make new friends who will be with you on your I-Guides journey, which we hope will be a fun and enjoyable one. Details of interview:

Interview Dates: 5 September & 6 September, on a Friday & Saturday

Time: 11am to 5pm, the last slot will be at 4.

There will be 2 interview dates to choose from. Booking of interview slots will be on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

The time slot selection sheet will be pasted on the Door of the IGUIDES ROOM @ SAR (Student Activity Room, level 3 of the SDC- Student Development Centre building).

Please turn up 10 minutes before the interview.

The interview is COMPULSORY to be part of our Sub committee. In the event that you are not able to make it for the interview, please inform us via EMAIL- susan.iguides@gmail.com. You are to state a valid reason for not being able to attend the interview.

Recently, many have been asking if you guys have managed to get into IGUIDES. So I am here to clarify it for everyone who is wondering.

There are 2 ways to register for IGUIDES. One way is to register at our booth, the other way is to email us. For those who emailed us, we have sent an email to acknowledge that we have received your application. If you signed up at the booth, YOU DO NOT NEED TO GET AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT EMAIL from us concerning your application.

However, everyone will RECEIVE AN EMAIL about our upcoming event. That will show that you have registered with us. If you do not recieve it, please email us.
